FArTHER!
Last half term, we studied the book 'FArTHER' by Grahame Baker-Smith. The story is about a boy who pays tribute to his father's dream of flying, a dream he was not able to fulfil in his lifetime as another call claimed him - war. The story allowed us to discuss the symbols of war and peace and the great value of persevering towards our dreams. We worked very hard on using figurative language to describe the day the dad left for war. Here are some of our published pieces.
