HELP FOR THE HOMELESS PEOPLE!

Two of our KS2 children wanted to support homless people in the community.  At the end of half term, they sold cakes to raise money.  They raised an amazing amout of £250 via a go fund page.

They went into Warrington on 1st June during the school holidays and bought hot Macdonalds breakfasts for as many homeless people as they could find. They met up with a Warrington Policeman who was very impressed by their efforts and even more with the coffee they gave him!!

They then went shopping with the remainder of the money - they were armed with a list of wanted items from the local homeless shelter Room at the Inn - The Y Project. After a mammoth shopping trip in the heat they took all the goodies to the shelter where they met and chatted to some of the volunteers running the shelter, as well as someone using the shelter who was so impressed by their efforts.

We are so proud of them! They had so much fun doing this together and made a great contribution.
