CSI Workshop

Mr O'Neill's and Mrs Moss' Year 5 children, along with Gill and Tracey went to Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy recently to take part in a CSI Workshop.  The children and adults had to dress as if they were forensic officers with overalls, plastic shoes and gloves.  Their first job of the morning was to take fingerprints.  They scribbled pencil on a piece of paper and then put their finger on the lead, they then used sellotape to take an imprint.  Next they looked at blood, the different patterns of blood, ie passive or projected and how blood can be transferred on footware etc.  Finally, they entered a crime scene!  The children had to investigate the scene and try and decide what had happened by looking at all the evidence.  It was a really informative morning and the children and adults enjoyed it immensely.
